Rail Travel (1st Class)

Outward: Depart St Pancras International station, change stations in Paris, arrive Souillac early evening. Transfer to hotel included (30 mins).

Return: Taxi transfer to Souillac station included (30 mins), change stations in Paris, arrive St Pancras International station early evening.

  • Day 1 Arrival Souillac and Château de la Treyne
    • Settle in to the luxurious château and look forward to a gourmet meal.
  • Day 2 La Treyne to Coly - 30 miles (48km)
    • Our agent delivers your bikes and off you go through Souillac and into remote countryside on the way to Coly and the Manoir de Hautegante.
  • Day 3 Coly to Les Eyzies - 33 miles (52.8km)
    • Cycle through the pretty Périgord villages including Saint Léon sur Vézère, before descending to les Eyzies to stay two nights at Hôtel les Glycines.
  • Day 4 Day Trip from Les Eyzies - 16 miles (25.6km)
    • Perhaps explore the nearby prehistoric cave paintings or cycle along the river to Le Bugue, Limeuil and Trémolat.
  • Day 5 Les Eyzies to Domme - 24 miles (38.4km)
    • A cross-country ride takes you through Sarlat an ancient town worthy of a visit before continuing to Domme and the Hôtel l’Esplanade for two nights.
  • Day 6 Day Trip from Domme - 14 miles (22.4km)
    • Cycle to La Roque Gageac and the stunning Château at Beynac. You may prefer to leave the saddle and hire a canoe to paddle down the river from nearby Vitrac.
  • Day 7 Domme to Château de la Treyne - 25 miles (40km)
    • Follow the shady banks of the Dordogne to Souillac and then return to Château de la Treyne for your final night. This is a noble residence built originally in the 14th century. This beautiful hotel sits on top of a cliff majestically overhanging the splendid Dordogne River. Final night to linger over a sumptuous meal as you relax and look back on the best bits of your holiday.
