• Day 1 Arrive in Dijon
  • Meet in central Dijon late afternoon for transfer to your floating hotel for a welcome aperitif before dinner on board.
• Day 2 Dijon to Fleurey-sur-Ouche
  • Gentle passage through picturesque locks and sleepy villages. After lunch an excursion for an escorted tour of Dijon, seat of the Dukes of Burgundy. Dinner on board.
• Day 3 Fleurey-sur-Ouche to Gissey-sur-Ouche
  • Pass through traditional villages like Pont de Pany, possible excursion to Clos de Vougeot vineyard and private wine-tasting in the ancient cellars at Château la Chassagne. Dinner on Board.
• Day 4 Gissey-sur-Ouche to Beaune
  • A full day excursion to Beaune for wine-tastings and lunch at a rural restaurant. In the afternoon visit the Hotel Dieu, a beautiful 15th century former hospital and explore the old town. Return to the barge for dinner on board
• Day 5 Gissey-sur-Ouche to Pont d'Ouche
  • Cruise to Saint Victor and La Bussiere where you visit the Cistercian Abbey. Late afternoon excursion to the medieval hilltop village of Châteauneuf-en-Auxois with cafés, antique and curiosity shops and spectacular views. Dinner on board.
• Day 6 Pont d'Ouche to Vandenesse
  • Relax on board or help negotiate the many locks along this section of canal. Choice of excursions or a game of Pétanque. Captain's Farewell dinner on board.
• Day 7 Depart
  • After breakfast disembark for transfer to Dijon for about 11.00am. Note that on alternate weeks the cruise is in the reverse direction and the daily itinerary is a sample subject to change and dependant upon the particular barge chosen.
