- Day 1 Toulouse to Montauban
Transfer at 4.00pm from central Toulouse to the mooring at Montauban for a Champagne Welcome aboard the ROSA. Time to look round the old town on the banks of the River Tarn before dinner on board.
- Day 2 Montauban to Montech
A flight of ten locks skirting the Forest of Agres brings you to Montech. In he afternoon a minibus excursion to the Château Bellevue la Forêt for a wine-tasting in the Cotes du Frontonnais. Return to the barge for a game of Boules before dinner on board.
- Day 3 Montech to Castelsarrasin
Accompany the chef around the weekly market in Montech before continuing along the canal to negotiate the inclined Water Plane lowering the barge some 43 feet without locks. Arriving in Castelsarrasin a short drive to Angeville and Ferme des Jauberts to sample foie gras accompanied by Armagnac. Return for dinner on board.
- Day 4 Castelsarrasin to Moissac
Cross the River Tarn by aqueduct before descending a staircase of locks to moor for lunch below an old watermill on the River Tarn. At St Nicholas de la Grave optional swimming or canoeing or a visit to the 7th cent. Abbey. Dinner at the acclaimed restaurant Le Pont Napoleon where Rick Stein cooked local Pike for his TV series.
- Day 5 Moissac to Valence d'Agen
Leaving the Tarn and negotiating a swing bridge before cruising below the foothills of the Quercy Massif to moor for lunch at Pommevic. Afternoon excursion to the medieval village of Auvillar famed for its pottery. Continue the cruise to Valence d'Agen and visit the town before dinner on board.
- Day 6 Valence d'Agen to Agen
Reaching Lamagistère a short drive or cycle ride to Donzac to step back in time visiting the extensive exhibition of rural life. Cruise on to historic Agen in time for lunch and then visit the Château du Frandat for a private tasting of Armagnac and Buzet Wines in delightful surroundings. Captain's Farewell dinner on board.
- Day 7 Agen to Toulouse
After breakfast disembark for transfer to Toulouse for approximately 11.00am.
Note that on alternate weeks the cruise is in the reverse direction and the daily itinerary is a sample subject to change.

Rosa is an old Dutch "Clipper" barge that has been completely refitted in 2010 to a high specification. Her saloon is particularly welcoming and features attractive wood panelling, comfortable seating and a cosy bar. There are four air-conditioned staterooms, each with full en-suite facilities and offering comfortable accommodation for 8 passengers. Outside there is a spacious sundeck with comfortable furniture. Rosa also featured in the hugely successful television series, Rick Stein’s French Odyssey.
