- Day 1 Arrival Caudebec-en-Caux
- The river Seine curls round the bustling town of Caudebec-en-Caux, dominated by the elegant
Notre-Dame church with its intricate spire. Take a seat in the restaurant of the Logis de France hotel and indulge in a leisurely dinner. HB
- Day 2 Caudebec-en-Caux to Jumièges - 14 miles (22.4km)
The taxi takes you to St Wandrill-Rancon to commence today’s walk at the Gregorian St Wandrill Abbey. From here your journey takes you through fields and beech woods with the Seine meandering below until you head down towards Jumièges, for a night in the comfortable
guesthouse in a delightful rural setting. B&B
- Day 3 Jumièges to Montigny - 11 miles (17.6km)
- A taxi takes you to the edge of Duclair. Then a varied walk up chalky, limestone hills, three climbs today, through mixed woodland and denser forests. Tonight’s hotel, the 3-star Relais de Montigny, is set in a clearing in the heart of the Roumaré forest. Most rooms have a terrace or balcony overlooking the park, and the restaurant on the south-facing terrace is a wonderful setting. HB
- Day 4 Montigny to La Bouille - 13 miles (20.8km)
- Today sees you heading back through dappled woodland
to rejoin the paths running by the riverside. You have the option of following the interesting pathways winding by the forest’s edge or of taking the more direct route through the centre. Your riverside hotel in the pretty village of La Bouille is accessed via a little ferry that crosses the Seine. HB
