- Day 1 Arrival in Paris
You will be based in the wonderful Latin Quarter at Hôtel des Grandes Ecoles, a pretty hotel with a green and peaceful cobbled front garden, in the heart of Paris.Tonight, you will have a reservation at the nearby art-deco restaurant Le Buisson Ardent, serving classic French cuisine. Bed and breakfast plus dinner. HB
- Day 2 Bike tour of the classic sights of Paris - 4 miles (6.4km)
Paris is more cycle-friendly than ever before and whether an experienced visitor or not, you will see Paris in a whole new light from a bicycle! On a four hour tour, take in The Eiffel Tower, Napoleon’s Tomb, The Louvre, the Tuileries Gardens (with a stop to buy lunch), Musée d’Orsay and much else besides in the most fun way, packed with tales and facts. You are free to explore Parisian life as you choose for the rest of the day. B&B
- Day 3 Walking tour of the Latin Quarter (3pm, 2 hours)
- You are staying in the most ancient and historic part of the city, which is brimming with stories to tell. After a free morning, meet close to the hotel for a guided group walk, discovering Roman ruins, the seat of the French intelligensia, medieval Paris, the Jardins de Luxembourg, tales of the Revolution, Notre Dame and the chic heart of Paris cool. Afterwards, choose from the many excellent restaurants in the Latin Quarter. B&B
- Day 4 Suggestions for your free time
- You finish the bike tour very close to Musée du Quai
Branly, Musée d’Art et d’Histoire de Judaisme and Musée
de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine, all giving unique and
fascinating insights into Parisian culture. We will include
a ticket for Tour Montparnasse 56, the best view of Paris. Alternatively, explore Canal St Martin, favourite haunt of film character Amélie or the Père Lachaise Cemetery, resting place of so many renowned figures in French culture.
