Rail Travel
Outward: Depart St Pancras International, change in Paris or Lille for TGV to Strasbourg, arriving late afternoon. Transfer to hotel 15 mins on foot not included.
Return: Depart Strasbourg, change trains in Paris or Lille, arrive St Pancras International early evening.
- Day 1 Arrival Strasbourg
- Settle into the Hôtel de l’Europe situated in the heart of Strasbourg. Ten minutes walk from the rail station, it is just a short walk to the old streets of Petite France and the Cathedral area where you’re sure to find a restaurant to your liking. B&B
- Day 2 Strasbourg to Osthouse - 34 miles (54.4km)
Follow the Canal du Rhone au Rhin to reach Osthouse and the charming half-timbered Hôtel à la Ferme. HB
- Day 3 Osthouse to Colmar - 41 miles (65.6km)
- Pass the beautiful Baroque church of Ebermunstere, through typical Alsace villages to the city of Colmar, famed for its art and culture. Stay at the Hôtel Beausejour, close to the picturesque historic quarter. Book early for an extra night for the Colmar Music Festival during the first two weeks of July. HB
- Day 4 Colmar to Guebwiller - 23 miles (36.8km)
- Turn away from Mulsheim towards the foothills of the Grand Ballon to arrive at Murbach near Guebwiller and the Hostellerie St Barnabé. HB
- Day 5 Guebwiller to Riquewihr - 30 miles (48km)
At the foot of the Vosges through the wine villages Eguisheim, Turckheim, and Kaysersberg to Riquewihr and the Hôtel Schoenenburg. HB
- Day 6 Riquewihr to Obernai - 33 miles (52.8km)
- Follow the Route des Vins to discover the villages of Hunawhir, Ribeauvillé, Bergheim, Andlau and Boersch to Obernai. Stay at Hôtel à la cour d’Alsace. HB
- Day 7 Obernai to Strasbourg - 25 miles (40km)
- Leaving Obernai you pass through Molsheim, where Bugatti cars were built, to return to Strasbourg and your final night B&B at the Hôtel de l’Europe. B&B
