- Day 1 Arrival in Burgundy (6.5 hours from Calais) - 400 miles (640km)
- Follow the autoroutes all the way to Chalon-sur-Saône and settle into the three star Hôtel Dracy just ten minutes into peaceful countryside.
- Day 2 Chassagne-Montrachet and Meursault - 30-40 miles (48-64km)
Visit the medieval village of Buxy, or the Duke’s Château of Germolles, and after a scenic drive through the vineyards of Mercurey and Rully take lunch at the Château de Chassagne-Montrachet with a tasting of six of the estate wines. Afterwards perhaps visit the Château de Meursault with its 12th century caves and museum before returning to Hôtel Dracy. Optional upgrade tonight to Hôtel Lameloise in Chagny, whose restaurant boasts three Michelin stars.
- Day 3 Beaune - 20 miles (32km)
Return to Meursault and then through the wine villages of Volnay and Pommard on the way to Beaune. Spend the rest of the day exploring the ‘wine capital’ with museums and art galleries, the famous Hôtel Dieu and exclusive wine merchants’ shops. Then just a ten minute drive to the four star Ermitage du Corton in the vineyards just to the north of Beaune for two nights.
- Day 4 Savigny-les-Beaune and Nuits St Georges - 20-30 miles (32-48 km)
A scenic drive takes you to the Château de Savigny-les- Beaune with its fascinating collection of avions de chase, Abarth racing cars, motorcycles and model aircraft. The wine cave has a good selection of wines to taste from the estate vineyards throughout Burgundy. After lunch continue north through the hautes cotes to Clos de Vougeot and Nuits St Georges before returning to the Ermitage de Corton for your final night.
