- Day 2 Day trip from Chissay - 10 miles (16km)
After threading through the ancient village of Chissay, cross open fields and vineyards to Chisseaux and then follow the River Cher to the fabulous Château de Chenonceau. After viewing the gardens and interior of this architectural masterpiece, return along the banks of the Cher for a second night at the Château de Chissay.

Leaving Noizay walk through vast acres of the Vouvray vines to the village of Vernou. Then climb the slopes above Vouvray to reach Château Gaudrelle for a free wine tasting experience. Finally a short descent through the village to reach the unique hotel Les Hautes Roches, where you may spend the night in a troglodyte chamber hewn into the cliff face with spectacular views of the mighty River Loire.

Chateau de Pray lies in the heart of the prestigious Loire Chateaux Region. A mile west of the town center, this château from 1224 resembles a tower-flanked castle on the Rhine.
