  • Day 1 Arrival Amboise
    • A charming tourist town on the banks of the River Loire, dominated by its Royal Château, with narrow streets and pavement cafés. B&B
  • Day 2 Amboise to Fantasy Forest - 6 miles (9.6km)
    • A short cycle ride to Fantasy Forest where there are lots of exciting activities for all ages. From bouncy castles to aerial runways, caving, and downhill ‘devilkarts’. Stay two nights half-board at the 3-star château hotel Domaine des Thomeaux. HB
  • Day 3 Fantasy Forest
    • More fun at Fantasy Forest or canoe down the River Loire in a family group. Ladies may wish to enjoy the spa treatments available at the hotel whilst the men take to the high wires of an acro-branch walk. HB Check out www.fantasyforest.fr.
  • Day 4 Amboise or Mosnes to Montrichard - 17 miles (27.2km)
    • A cross-country ride through woodland and vineyards to Montrichard where you will discover a ruined medieval castle and a sandy beach on the River Cher with pedalos for hire in high season. HB
  • Day 5 Day trip from Montrichard - 12 miles (19.2km)
    • A riverside cycle to Chenonceaux with its enchanting Château, or during the afternoon, visit the fascinating troglodyte dwellings built into the limestone cliffs at Bourré. HB
  • Day 6 Montrichard to St Aignan - 20 miles (32km)
    • Follow the Cher valley past troglodyte homes and perhaps detour uphill to visit mushroom caves. Return to the valley past Roman ruins at Thessé on your way to your riverside hotel St Aignan. HB
  • Day 7 Day trip from St Aignan - 6 miles (9.6km)
    • Take a short ride to visit the nearby Zooparc de Beauval,for an amazing display of birds of prey and sealions. HB
