- Day 1 Arrive in Villefranche sur Mer
Settle into your hotel in Villefranche sur Mer, a small and
colourful harbor town on the French Riviera, just a stone’s
throw from Nice. Dinner in town and night in Villefranche. HB
- Day 2 St Jean Cap Ferrat - 9 miles (14.4km)
Leaving your hotel by foot, you circumnavigate the peninsula
of Saint Jean Cap Ferrat. An easy walking path built along
the ledge of the jagged coastline has you wedged between
the Mediterranean and some of the most expensive villas
in the world. 2nd night in Villefranche. BB
- Day 3 Perched medieval villages - 9 miles (14.4km)
There are two possibilities for you today: the medieval
villages of Gorbio and Sainte Agnès sit on their rocky
perches high above the Mediterranean, with a walking
path that links the two. Your second option, and more
challenging, is the winding path from the train station of
Eze, zigzagging upwards towards its beautiful fortified
village, with breathtaking views of the sea. 3rd night in
Villefranche. BB
- Day 4 Le Lavandou
A morning transfer takes you westward to the town of
Le Lavandou. Settle into the Hôtel l’Espadon for the next
four nights, set just a few paces from the water. Spend
time exploring the town, and what is probably the best
beach along the Côte d’Azur. HB
- Day 5 Bormes les Mimosas - 9 miles (14.4km)
Walk through the colourful village of Bormes les Mimosas,
each one of its cobbled streets laden in bougainvillea,
mimosas, and exotic flowers from the world over. For those
seeking more of a challenge you can continue up to the
chapel of Notre Dame de Constance; at 300m above sea
level the views are far-reaching. 2nd night in Le Lavandou. BB
- Day 6 Port Cros National Park - 9 miles (14.4km)
A ferry takes you from the port of Le Lavandou to the
island of Port Cros, it is France’s smallest national park,
and its dense forests of tree heather, strawberry trees and
cork oaks, all untamed, makes for a veritable walking
paradise. A return ferry is included to Le Lavandou. 3rd
night in Le Lavandou. BB
- Day 7 The Coastline path - 11 miles (17.6km)
Today you follow the “sentier littoral”, the coastline path
that passes along pristine beaches and hidden coves.
Halfway through the walk the Estagnol beach is the perfect
lunch break, with its beachfront restaurant serving grilled
seafood. 4th night in Le Lavandou. BB
