- Day 1 Arrival at Saint-Jean-d’Ardières
A personal greeting and explanation of the walk awaits
you on arrival at the 4 star Château de Pizay. Arrive early
afternoon and take a stroll around the 75 hectare vineyard
or enjoy a moment of relaxation in the spa.
- Day 2 Saint-Jean-d’Ardières to Saint-Amour-Bellevue
Saint-Amour-Bellevue - 7 miles (11.2km)
Transfer to Moulin-à-Vent to start the walk amongst gentle
hills, visit to a chateau with its 17th century vaulted caves
and then finish with a private wine tasting, surprisingly
in a converted church. Stay at the luxurious Auberge du
Paradis in the heart of the village and relax in the spa
and pool.
- Day 3 Saint-Amour-Bellevue to Fuissé - 7 miles (11.2km)
Beautiful panoramic views of the Peaks of the Lyonnais,
the Jura and the Alps and then drop lower to cross through
prestigious vineyards. Of course a wine tasting session
awaits your arrival. Stay two nights at the 16th Century
La Source des Fées in the heart of the village Fuissé.
- Day 4 The Spectacular Grand Site de Solutré - 9 miles (14.4km)
Discover the célèbre Pouilly Fuissé region and the Grand
Site of the Roche de Solutré. Visit the prehistoric cave
museum and then enjoy a tasting of 5 Pouilly Fuissé wines
- Day 5 Fuissé to Igé - 9 miles (14.4km)
A walk of varied landscapes: gentle hills, protected
woodland and prestigious vineyards. To reward your
efforts, enjoy a final wine tasting en route and then finish
at the spectacular 13th Century 4-star Château d’Igé,
where each room is unique

Nestling in the heart of the Beaujolais region, Château de Pizay is one of the most important estates in Beaujolais with 65 hectares of vines. As well as the vineyards on the estate, they own vineyards in the top Beaujolais Cru appellations of Morgon and Brouilly. Pascal Dufaitre and Aline Deshayes have been in charge of the vineyard since 1983.
The château, which was first built in 1030, with alterations through to the 14th century, is now a luxury hotel with 65 bedrooms, a fabulous gourmet restaurant, and exquisite formal gardens.

A simple but fine little inn on the main square of St-Amour, a working wine village - its Beaujolais Cru is the only one to be entirely situated in the Mâconnais. Françoise Faucon, the owner and manager, welcomes you with the highly professional assistance of her staff, and especially chef Olivier Pons. The Château d’Igé has 9 rooms and 7 suites, all comfortable and tastefully decorated, located in the château itself or in the tower in the 18th-century garden. All rooms are decorated differently, giving each its own personality. Some suites have four-poster beds.
