Many of our walking and cycling tours are conveniently served by a wide choice of flights operated by Low Cost airlines. Flight costs can be amazingly low and the airports themselves are often much smaller and quieter, making the whole flight experience much less stressful.
Book direct - save money

For all of our holidays we give prices for 'own travel' allowing you to book direct with the Low Cost airlines and save money. We will be happy to advise you on the nearest airport to our holiday destinations.
Plan carefully

The low cost airlines offer some fantastic prices.  But it pays to plan carefully and to observe some basic principles.

  • It can be costly and complicated to get from the airport to your first hotel.
  • Generally it pays to book early for the lowest fares.
  • Children are the same cost as adults.
  • Peak dates can actually be expensive compared to other carriers.
  • Full payment is required at the time of booking.
  • Changes and amendments can be costly.
There is no benefit in us booking your flights for you and many of the Low Cost airlines only sell direct anyway.

Ryanair and EasyJet are just two of the most well-known low cost carriers but there are others, including BmiBaby, Flybe, Monarch and Thomsonfly. New routes are frequently added so check the latest options available. The national carriers like Air France and BA can also offer keen prices at certain times so it pays to look around.
